This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to assist in the construction and maintenance of multi-product non-permanent bulk fuel installations within a Defence operational environment.
It includes preparing and assisting in constructing and maintaining field bulk fuel installations.
This unit applies to persons working as petroleum operators in Defence but is applicable to any individual in this field of work.
The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out including the current Australian Dangerous Goods Code. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to.
Persons undertaking this unit work under supervision, and perform routine tasks in a range of familiar and unfamiliar contexts.
